Position

Team Aims

  • To provide reassurance to the board and management that the outsourced functions of the business are operating in a compliant manner through regular and ad hoc reporting and other MI
  • To provide advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders to help them meet their compliance responsibilities
  • To help raise awareness of the laws, regulations and industry standards which apply to the business
  • To identify good and bad practice providing feedback on failures in controls, recommendations for improvement and, where appropriate, remedial action
  • Remain up to date with regulatory change and ensure it is adopted, as appropriate, by any outsourced functions

 

Role Purpose

To assist the oversight team in implementing an effective external oversight programme, including but not limited to investment managers and sponsors, and provide regular reporting to the board of directors and senior management.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Supporting the Compliance Oversight Manager in undertaking the monitoring of outsourced functions and assisting in the preparation of reports to management
  2. Undertake the review and approval of financial promotions and customer communications
  3. Assist with the update and maintenance of the oversight programme for those functions which are undertaken externally
  4. Assist with the update and maintenance of policies and procedures in relation to the oversight of outsourced functions including, but not limited to, the Outsourcing Policy, the appropriate monitoring programmes and any due diligence questionnaires
  5. Support the Compliance Oversight Manager in completing the oversight monitoring programmes
  6. Undertake additional Compliance and Risk projects as directed from time to time by the Compliance & Risk Director

Qualifications

Educated to degree level

Completed or working towards IOC (Investment Operations Certificate)

 

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
