Position

The Operations Assistant will assist the Operations Manager with the daily coordination of operations on the project.

Work is undertaken in blocks of 21 working days, followed by 21 days of reciprocated leave.

The initial project is based in Dundee, Scotland. There is no expectation to relocate, and travel and accommodation is provided during shifts.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the daily coordination of operations on the project;
  • Assist the Operations Manager in raising of work permits as required;
  • Manage project documentation control and ensure hard/soft copies are available onsite;
  • Ensure all safety certification is in order and complies with site and statutory requirements;
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance documentation is in order and complies with site and company requirements;
  • Liaise with the MRE head office as required;
  • Assist in the production of RAMS and safe systems of work;
  • Attend safety and other meetings as required;
  • Ensure the office(s) are in good order and suitable for additional personnel when necessary;
  • Assist with orders and delivery of stores and equipment;
  • Liaise with MRE Clients and suppliers to ensure excellent relationships are developed;
  • Assist in the coordination of Temporary Power personnel and MRE assets on site;
  • Assist in the completion of Daily/Weekly and Monthly reports and Asset Registers as required;
  • Provide timesheets for personnel and assets to enable correct invoicing; and
  • Assist in all other duties as required.

Requirements

Desirable Qualifications


·5 GWOs (Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Sea Survival)

·Medical OGUK


Knowledge and Experience


·Previous experience of working on offshore wind farms would be beneficial.

  • Confident interpersonal communication skills are important as well as being a team player
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to think problems through logically
  • A calm and professional manner
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work

Other information

Competitive remuneration package with 25 days holiday + bank holidays a year, pension, with a competitive starting wage dependant on skills and qualifications. Full training & support will be provided where necessary and appropriate.
