Purchase Ledger Clerk

Manchester (with hybrid working)

Your role

In this exciting Purchase Ledger Clerk opportunity here at M247, you’ll strategically assist within the team to help and develop processing for all inbound and outbound payments.

As the ideal candidate in this varied role, you’ll be a natural problem solver who’s accustomed to having influence and autonomy to manage change, whilst being credible and impactful within the telecoms and/or IT sector.



What you’ll do:

  • You’ll match, code and process all inbound purchase invoices accurately.
  • You’ll prepare weekly/monthly payment runs for various payment methods and currencies such as BACS Payments, Bank Transfers and Currency Transfers.
  • You’ll complete the monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • You review and submit submissions of employee expense payments.
  • You’ll accurately post outbound payments, including Direct Debit Payments.
  • You’ll handle and resolve inbound supplier queries.
  • You’ll maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and internal customers.
  • You’ll create new supplier accounts and maintain existing supplier accounts.
  • You’ll review processes to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Previous experience in a similar transactional role.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Applications, in particular Excel and Outlook.
