Location: Manchester, M15 5RL

Contract: Permanent, full time, 4 days per week in the office

Hours: Mon-Fri

Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE

Position

The Role


To deliver the services ordered by customers within timescales to suit both the business and the customer.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Technical vetting of customer network solutions, ranging from one-off internet connections to complex, multi-site projects
  • Documentation of designed and deployed network services Configuration of Cisco switching and routing equipment
  • Liaising with customers to ensure that services are delivered in line with their business needs
  • Working collaboration with field engineers to handle installation and turn-up of customer connections
  • Technical services inter-team cover
  • Providing out of hours on call support on a rotating basis
  • Assist with network maintenance
  • Key team member for technical support escalations
  • Share technical knowledge with colleagues across the business
  • Cross-team technical cover where necessary

Requirements

Key personal skills needed:


  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly developed planning and prioritisation skills
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
  • Able to quickly build relationships with customers and understand their technical requirements
  • Ability to cope under pressure

Key technical skills needed:


  • Good understanding of BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols and redistribution, along with MPLS, HSRP and STP
  • Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco SD-WAN
  • CCNA/CCNP certified or to demonstrate the ability to operate at that standard
  • Good understanding of Fibre, FTTC, EoFTTC
  • Proven track record of excellent documentation
  • Experience inbuilding MPLS VPN networks
  • Flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support to fit customer requirements

Desirable:

  • Experience with Meraki APs & Purple WiFi
  • Experience with Wireless Radio and/or Microwave for example Infinet, Siklu, Ceragon
