Your role

In this exciting Line 2 Managed Services Cloud Engineer opportunity here at M247, you’ll be a key team member in our Customer Delivery Team and an essential part of the acceleration of the delivery of customer connections. Here you’ll provide low-level design and delivery services to customers within exacting standards and timescales, whilst working alongside pre-sales engineers to produce bespoke solutions for major household-name customers.

As the ideal candidate, you’re likely to come from a comparable Cloud Engineer role and worked in an internet service provider (ISP) environment offering internet broadband to business customers, whilst demonstrating a willingness and interest to learn and grow within the role to enhance the operations department. As part of an expanding team, this is an ideal opportunity for a driven individual to take the next step in their career.


What you’ll do:

  • You’ll perform scheduled tasks to ensure our cloud platforms & services remain operational, efficient and are aligned to product requirements.
  • You’ll plan out and implement scheduled maintenance on the various cloud platforms
  • You’ll perform backup and restore in Cohesity to fulfil customer requests.
  • You’ll support the delivery of KPIs and SLAs to in adherence to customer & platform contracts
  • You’ll support escalated incidents or service requests when necessary & providing end to end task completion.
  • You’ll escalate incidents or service requests when necessary to the appropriate internal or external skill group, ensuring effective handover of diagnostics carried out to date and results.
  • You’ll ensure that delivery and operations are delivered to a best practice / innovate standard utilizing ITIL frameworks.
  • You’ll build and maintaining relationships with colleagues, Client contacts and internal stakeholders e.g., service and project management teams, platform, and infrastructure departments.
  • You’ll participate in the rollout of new products and capabilities

Requirements


Your skills and experience

Role Specific Attributes:

  • Minimum 5-year experience in a support or Information Technology role
  • Working knowledge of ISO27001 and security frameworks
  • Strong understanding of cyber-threats
  • Proficiency in scripting or development is a plus
  • Systems admin experience, across Windows, Unix, Linux etc
  • Experience in managing virtualized environments up to and including OS (Windows/Linux)
  • Working knowledge/experience of Virtualization Hypervisors – vmware, Hyper-V etc
  • Working knowledge/experience Layer-2/3 networking
  • Working Knowledge/experience of IT resilience products such as Cohesity and Zerto, Understanding of cloud technology, Public (AWS and Azure), Private (Nutanix, Vmware, Microsoft)
  • Experience with support systems (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Knowledge/working experience in defining and refining monitoring alerts/thresholds and documenting actions based on alert definitions
