In this exciting Junior Project Manager opportunity at M247, you’ll play a key role in the Project Management Team and the wider Customer Operations function, whilst focusing on the delivery of solutions for our internal and external customers. This is a great opportunity to have an impact on our whole customer experience whilst driving the ongoing growth and success of our business.

As the ideal candidate for this Junior Project Manager opportunity, you’ll have a recognised project management qualification, such as PMP, APMP, Prince2 and/or P30 or equivalent, and you’ll have developed your project management and planning skills in a fast-paced and progressing commercial setting. What you’ll do:

  • You’ll deliver technology solutions for our customers, both internal and external. These include Connectivity, Voice, Cloud and Infrastructure solutions.
  • You’ll understand the project scope, budget, duration and create project plans required to successfully deliver the project deliverables.
  • You’ll provide support to initiatives owned within the wider organisation, whilst understanding the impact these will have on other initiatives.
  • You’ll schedule and conduct project meetings and set up effective communication with the project team. Set expectations and ensure the project team has the tools and training required to perform the required tasks.
  • You’ll be responsible for the simultaneous planning and delivery of multiple medium to large sized full or part projects within the agreed time, quality and cost objectives.
  • You’ll lead the project delivery team, either direct line or matrix resources, and will work with partners both internally and externally to ensure deliverables and milestones are achieved.
  • You’ll work collaboratively across the PMO team, wider organisation and our partners/customers to achieve defined outcomes.
  • You’ll advocate the organisation’s project management approach, influence key stakeholders to embrace the initiative and engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • You’ll constructively challenges others, regardless of position or status, particularly challenging non-fact-based decision making.

Project Delivery specific

  • You’ll prioritise activities in order to make sure key deliverables are achieved within the time, quality and cost objectives.
  • You’ll ensure alignment across the project team through regular checkpoint reviews, reporting and presentations on progress to the Project Boards and Steering Groups.
  • You’ll develop detailed project, implementation or action plans for the duration of each project as appropriate and ensures that change control measures are implemented once the project is launched.
  • You’ll make sure each project has a clear objective, benefit statement and scope formally documented and agreed with stakeholders.
  • You’ll apply strong analytical capability to review data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • You’ll provide timely and accurate project reporting across milestone timescales, demand impacts, quality and financial measures so that sponsors and stakeholders have visibility of sufficient information to take decisions.
  • You’ll identify risks, issues and dependencies associated with projects and develops mitigation plans to minimise disruption to successful delivery.
  • You’ll capture lessons learned during the project lifecycle and translates these in to executable actions that can be adopted by the wider PMO community.
  • You’ll map all stakeholders associated with the project and delivers an effective schedule of project communications targeted to the audiences within each stakeholder group.
  • You’ll influence stakeholders to avoid conflict and is capable of resolving conflicts should they arise during the project lifecycle.
  • You’ll simplify complex project information and distils it into simple, key messages with impact.
  • You’ll escalate (appropriately) issues that have or imminently will exceed the project boundaries.
  • You’ll implement mechanisms to ensure changes are sustainable and is able to demonstrate this through evidence.

Requirements


Your skills and experience

  • Working towards a recognised formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent).
  • Outstanding attention to detail (written and numerical), excellent written and spoken English along with advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of successful delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be flexible by adapting quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong inter-personal, time management and problem-solving skills.
