HR Advisor
12 Month FTC

Manchester (with hybrid working)


Are you an experienced and talented HR Advisor, who’d relish the opportunity to work for a progressive, market-leading technology solutions business? If so, then read on…

Based in the Manchester region, you will work with the HR Business Partner and wider HR Team to provide support on all aspects of HR to our managers across the UK organisation. You will also work closely with the HR Business Partner to upskill People Management capabilities across the Company.



What you’ll do:

  • You’ll support business stakeholders with all aspects of HR by providing a comprehensive HR support to our M247 colleagues and Managers, aligning all decisions to the UK legal framework, commercial requirements and HR Best Practice.
  • You’ll provide full HR partnering support to a number of managers across the business (as agreed with the HRBP) to provide them with full HRBP support for all People related issues.
  • You’ll coach M247 People Managers to effectively appraise and manage performance in a consistent manner, in accordance with our performance management strategy.
  • You’ll support the HRBP and wider HR Team with engagement: Specifically, consistently conducting exit interviews, helping with listening forums, following up on local action plans, as well as identifying pockets of disengagement and taking a localized approach.
  • You’ll take a lead on Absence Management: Proactively monitor absence levels across the organisation to identify absence issues. Work with managers to manage problematic absence in accordance with the Company’s Sickness Absence Policy.
  • You’ll support the HR Operations team and helping them with complex questions raised to the HR inbox by our colleagues and managers.
  • You’ll support managers on several employee relations matters and provide case management as required using a high level of employment law and best practice knowledge to ensure the right outcome: To include performance management and improvement, objective setting, probationary reviews, welfare issues, investigations and disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • You’ll escalate ER cases to the HR Business Partner / external solicitors as appropriate.
  • You’ll create content for, and be involved in the delivery of, Manager Upskilling Workshops (Lead the Way).
  • You’ll support the Talent Acquisition Specialist as required, interviewing with hiring managers, assisting with selection techniques and ideas, as well as feeding into the forecasting of vacancies across M247.
  • You’ll work to maintain accurate HR records at all times, delegating responsibility to the HR Generalists where appropriate
  • You’ll support the people team on various projects as required to deliver the M247 people strategy.
  • You’ll pro-actively suggest improvements to HR processes and policies as appropriate.

Requirements


Your skills and experience

  • Passionate about HR.
  • Preferably Level 5 CIPD qualified or studying towards.
  • Demonstrates a positive can-do attitude: You are driven to do what it takes to get things done and deliver on objectives.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
