Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience

Position

The role


You will play a key role in securing M247 core services, developing vendor relationships and the inputting into the overall strategic plan for cyber security. You will work closely with the Cyber Security Product Manager, Risk and Compliance Manager, Network & Cloud COE’s and operational teams to constantly review and improve our overall value proposition.


You will enhance the Cyber security team and own the full lifecycle process securing M247’s internal systems and customer environments. Working alongside our pre-sales team to define the managed security service wrap for new prospects, configuring the security services as per design, fine tuning and customer transition to live. The cyber team will be responsible for managing the security solutions in life and supporting service reviews (customer success management) with core customers centred around FortiGate and cloud native stacks.


Working at M247, you will have exposure to the latest technology and seen as a key decision maker. The role will provide a continuous learning and development opportunity for the right person to contribute to the design and delivery of our secure and robust cyber security solutions. The individual will join us on our strategic journey of moving from an ISP to MSSP.

Key technical skills needed:


  • Experience as a technical leader, decision maker & implementor.
  • Microsoft security suites (Azure, Defender, Sentinel, Lighthouse, Graph, Secure Score etc). AWS equivalents a bonus.
  • Experience in securing physical & virtualized environments server to endpoint inc. hardening, patching, monitoring, logging & alerting.
  • Experience in data security posture design and implementation inc DLP, information governance, identity and access management etc.
  • Good knowledge of Fortinet products - FortiGate / FortiAnalyser / FortiSoC/fortiEDR (ideally NSE certified)
  • Awareness of Cloud Native Technologies & best practices, Azure Well Architected Framework & cloud migration strategies to ensure Security by Design.
  • Working knowledge/experience of performing and reviewing vulnerability & Risk assessments; penetration testing or cyber forensic analyses
  • Working Knowledge/experience of EDR/ XDR / MDR strategy with associated Cyber Security Incident Response planning.
  • Knowledge/working experience in managing CVE assessments.
  • Knowledge/working experience in current compliance frameworks (ISO27001/2, Cyber Essentials, NIS, Telecoms Security Act, NIST, CIS, CSA etc)
  • Current certification in one or more cyber security disciplines such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500, CCSP, AWS security Specialty, NSE 4 or above etc
