Due to continued success, an opportunity has arisen for a Metalwork Operator to join our highly skilled Metalwork team.

About the Role:

Metalwork Operators work in our busy Metalwork department, producing parts that are used during assembly of our market leading hi-fi equipment,

The metalwork department has a CNC shop with multi-axis milling, turning and combination machines, and a sheet metal shop with equipment including auto punch, press brake, powder coating and printing. We have invested heavily over the last few years, so equipment is typically latest model, high specification with automation, latest tooling, etc and the working environment is very good.

Our metalwork operators are flexible, covering different machines and processes as required due to order mix.

Skills Required:

·Experience working with CNC equipment such as 3 and 5 axis milling machines, multi axis lathes or mill /turn machines.

·Experience operating sheet metal processing equipment such as auto punch, press brake, powder coating, and printing would be a bonus.

·Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions to ensure consistency and high right first time achievement.

·Ability to work to drawings and an understanding of inspection techniques and quality requirements.

·Experience using both hand held inspection equipment such as callipers and micrometers and automated systems such as co-ordinate measurement machines (CMMs).

·Flexibility to operate different equipment, pick up new skills and work autonomously as required.

·Computer confident, ideally with experience of accessing MRP systems.

·We operate in a continuous improvement environment where problem solving and mistake proofing are continuously applied. You will be encourged to contribute fully to this way of working.

·We want to add team members who are passionate about what they do and take as much pride in their work as our current team members.

Working Patterns:

·We normally operate a standard dayshift, with flexible start and finish times. Occasionally we run a night shift when required to meet demand, typically around product launch periods.
