Salary - Circa £28,500

Based in the Midlands - Hybrid Working

Position

We are now hiring for the role of a Junior Investment Analyst - Risk to join the Investment Risk Team.

The successful candidate will have experience of Investment Risk/Financial Risk Analysis preferably gained with an asset manager of other financial institution.

You will work closely with our Portfolio Managers and the Investment Director to deliver high quality Fixed Income Investments. The role is supporting the Investment Director and Line 1 Risk Manager in implementing the investment risk processes and policies set by the Investment Committee. Specific responsibilities of the role include assisting in the risk analysis of multi-manager and other portfolios, across both public and private markets as well as liaising with external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Technical Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience of investment risk /financial risk analysis, preferably gained with an asset manager or other financial institution.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying analysing and calculating investment risk, documenting the rationale for its validity and monitoring such risks once identified.
  • Proven interest in Line 1 investment risk
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
  • Ability to use initiative and take responsibility when required.
  • A self-starter.
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills.
  • First class interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
  • Can evaluate performance and risk of investment portfolios objectively.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualification or experience of working in a financial environment.
  • IMC gained and working towards CFA qualification or similar/or relevant investment experience would be a plus.
