Our team of forensic scientists are experienced in the interpretation and reporting of a wide range of evidence types in support of criminal investigations.
In this role you will provide comprehensive administration and operational support to the Biology Department, as well as administrative support to the KFS Proficiency testing service. You will also assist with the set-up of test materials and other laboratory-based activities. This is a broad customer facing role, providing a highly professional and exceptional service to customers both internally and externally. The tasks associated with this role are wide ranging and therefore job holders will be required to be flexible and demonstrate effective teamwork in achieving the day-to-day work objectives of the department.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly motivated individual who approaches work with a positive attitude. They must be able to work on their own initiative and with exceptional attention to detail, whilst also being a team player with a willingness to support others. An ability to remain calm under pressure and take on high levels of responsibility and competing deadlines is essential, as is the ability to deal with challenging communications professionally, providing resolutions. Well-developed interpersonal skills, a high level of honesty and integrity, strong work ethic and commitment is essential. Professional business disposition and of smart appearance is also crucial. There may be occasional requirement to demonstrate flexibility in working hours.
A GCSE in Maths & English is essential and A levels or equivalent are desirable. A degree is also desirable, but not essential. You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy administration related environment. Experience working within the Criminal Justice System would be advantageous.

The role is full time (37 hours per week) and based at our site in Wymondham, Norfolk.
