Position

Role Summary

The role reports to the Commercial Management team who oversee business development efforts on behalf of KFS. The role holder will focus on building strong relationships and ensuring that customer experience is of the highest standard. They will also support the management of Commercial Manager diaries, where excellent communication and organisational skills are paramount. This is a commercial role and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality is vital.

Account Support - Focus on building strong relationships and ensuring customer experience is of the highest standard. Often the first point of contact for customers; the role holder will primarily focus on non-contract customer relationships, though development into client management would ensure readiness for a Commercial Manager role.

Marketing Support – Support Commercial Managers with tender response management, Brand Management, sourcing of Commercial Materials and the management of Customer Protocols

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

The Role Holder will:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the business and organisational dynamics, challenges and opportunities within the current customer base
  • Promote non-contract customer work within KFS emphasising strategic importance ensuring a high level of customer awareness of KFS’ service & product portfolio
  • Ensure new opportunities are passed to Commercial Managers
  • Assist Commercial Managers by providing support to include (though not limited to) confirming Contract Review Meetings, production of meeting minutes & Force/Operational Protocols, dealing with customer enquiries, adherence of KFS QMS pertinent to contract review, account management, sub-contractors, customer relations management and customer service
  • Support KFS at seminars, exhibitions, workshops and other communication events
  • Manage corporate mailboxes
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Where requested, undertake specific projects and report findings
  • Assist with procurement tasks
  • Adhere to contractual requirements such as Performance Monitoring Systems to include reporting of defined KPI’s and Management Information
  • Attend external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of the forensic marketplace
  • Where requested, undertake specific projects and report findings

Qualifications

  • Education to Degree standard or equivalent is desirable

Experience

  • Proven experience within a commercial role such as sales support or customer service
  • Previous experience within the UK Criminal Justice System is desirable

Other information

Terms & Conditions

  • Hours – 37 per week, Monday - Friday
  • Salary: starting at £25,000 per annum
  • Dependent on vetting and 6 months' probation
  • Holidays – 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays
  • Pension – Contributory
