Position

Reporting to the HR Director, as a Junior HR advisor you will provide the full HR administrative and support service to growing media venture. The role will suit someone who is ambitious, enthusiastic and driven with an outgoing personality who is looking to expand their HR experience and progress in their HR career within the Media industry.


The ideal candidate will have been in an HR administrator position previously, helping to support the HR team implement policy and procedure, whilst getting stuck into help our office look and feel like a great place to be for staff and clients when they visit.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities


● Accurately and efficiently maintaining up-to-date employee files

● Maintain and administer the HR System, inputting, updating and reconciling data as required to ensure that information held within the System is current and accurate to aid decision making

● Monthly payroll collation and input of the UK/US monthly payrolls

● Oversee the employee onboarding and probation procedures

● Provide general administrative support for HR, including the production of letters, reports and presentations

● Creating and maintaining employment related documentation including job descriptions and contractual change letters

● Administer Company benefits such as Healthcare plan and Pension, ensuring that members information is accurate and current

● Provide support to the annual and mid-year appraisal system and any resulting actions

● Manage employee participation in compulsory training courses. Administration and booking of employees on training courses, maintain appropriate records and ensure room set up and preparation

● Collate and record all attendance information for the relevant business Unit including the compilation of monthly absence information and the monitoring of sick pay entitlement

● Review existing HR Processes and offer suggestions for improvements to enhance efficiency of HR Service delivery;

● Update intranet with relevant HR content

● Support any disciplinary/grievance processes, including documentation support and minute taking

● Responding to day to day employee queries in a quick, accurate and friendly manner

● Support on all recruitment needs including direct headhunting and liaising with recruitment agencies

● Provide support for wider HR Projects and any ad hoc administrative tasks as required


Background and Experience

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills required ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines

● Proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills

● Confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels

● Working knowledge of laws/regulations relating to the human resources field essential

● An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial

● IT Skills – experience of maintaining HR databases and reporting;

● Preferably part CIPD qualified (support for CIPD training will be considered).
