Position

Reporting to the HR Director, as HR Advisor you will provide the full HR administrative and advisory support service to a growing media venture. The role will suit someone who has solid administrative and first-line support skills. You will also be looking to expand your HR experience and progress your career within the media industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Core HR administration - Accurately and efficiently maintain up-to-date employee files; Create and maintain employment related documentation including job descriptions and contractual change letters; Provide general administrative support for HR, including the production of letters, reports and presentations; Acting as the first HR point of contact and responding to day-to-day employee queries in a quick, accurate and friendly manner;
Employee Life Cycle: Oversee the employee onboarding and probation procedures; Manage the exit process, including exit interviews, resignation acceptance letters, references, payslip, holiday and final pay queries;
HRIS: Maintain and administer the HR System, inputting, updating and reconciling data as required to ensure that information held within the System is current and accurate to aid decision making; Update intranet with relevant HR content;
Payroll & Remuneration: Monthly payroll collation, input, reconciliation and sign off of the UK/US monthly payrolls; Supporting salary reviews, promotions and benchmarking;
Wellbeing & Benefits: Administer Company benefits such as Healthcare plan and Pension, ensuring that members information is accurate and current;
Learning & Development: Manage employee participation in compulsory training courses. Administration and booking of employees on training courses, maintain appropriate records and ensure room set up and preparation;
Mobility: Manage the end-to-end process for any mobility moves, including liaising with external immigration specialists, RLMT, visa administration, creating and updating mobility guides and relocation budget tracking.
Metrics: Collate and analyse metrics to on turnover, retention rates and attendance information for the relevant business Units;
Employee Relations: Work with the HR Director on any employee relations issues or projects, including grievance, capability, conduct, family friendly and flexible working processes. This can include creating documentation, minute taking or in some instances leading meetings and providing HR guidance to management; Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation; Provide support to Talent Mapping and the bi-annual appraisal system and any resulting actions; HR Projects & Processes: Provide support for wider HR Projects and any ad hoc administrative tasks as required. Review existing HR Processes and offer suggestions for improvements to enhance efficiency of HR Service delivery;

Requirements

Background and experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills required
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills;
- Confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels;
- Working knowledge of laws/regulations relating to the human resources field essential;
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial;
- IT Skills – experience of maintaining HR databases and reporting;
- Preferably part CIPD qualified (support for CIPD training will be considered).
