Jungle Creations is an award-winning social media-first publisher that exists to create ideas that get people to thrive online and in the real world. With offices in London and New York, the company owns and operates a number of hugely popular media brands. They each create and publish content across a number of different passion points, from food to women's interests and fitness, and they include; VT, Twisted, Four Nine, Craft Factory, Level Fitness, Futur3ology and Lovimals, which together have amassed over 125 million followers worldwide.

Jungle Creations works with clients including the likes of Diageo, McDonald's and Unilever, to help them reach its audiences through impactful and engaging branded content which has seen the company win The Drum's sought after 'Branded Content Team Of The Year' for the last four years in a row. Today the business has branched out into many offline ventures including Twisted: A Cookbook, delivery only restaurant business; Twisted London, and a Twisted IPA in collaboration with Brewgooder. Jungle Creations is also home to The Wild, an award-winning social media-first creative agency that helps brands turn heads and make it matter, specialising in social media management, multi-platform creative campaigns, branded content, production, influencer, and performance marketing.

Position

The role of the Head Of Marketing and Communications is to promote and raise awareness of Jungle Creations, its services and its media brands via advertising, awards, events, press relations and Jungle’s social media channels, and any other means possible, including brand licensing, pro bono activity and OTT that will help grow Jungle’s consumer facing brands and commercial opportunities.

Reporting to the Co-CEO, the Head Of Marketing and Communications will manage a team of five including a design team of three, marketing and communications executive, and video editor. The marcomms department is a centralised team which services the entire business from the sales team to the media team and The Wild.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities;

  • Planning, strategising and budgeting for the marketing and communications department
  • Management of a team of five people across marketing/comms, video, and design

  • B2B marketing - planning the annual corporate marketing budget and strategy to ensure demand and lead generation from potential clients for our media brands and The Wild. Activity includes management of newsletters, advertising and media partnerships, research, paid social, content for Jungle’s social channels, industry events, sponsorship, awards, Google Analytics, company blog, PPC, and speaking opportunities

  • Communications - PR planning and budgeting - managing PR campaigns, press relations, ensuring a steady flow of coverage both in the trade and consumer titles, utilising key news from throughout the business via stunts and press releases

  • Management of company reputation as well as crisis communications, press statements and media training

  • Management of PR agencies and freelancers where necessary

  • Thought leadership - including opinion pieces and the production of whitepapers

  • Liaise with clients and senior stakeholders on press announcements

  • Award strategy and planning to ensure our campaigns, our people, our brands and our business are recognised by relevant awards bodies

  • Partnering with charities on pro-bono and purpose led initiatives

  • Content marketing - ensuring we have a content strategy for each social platform that showcases our work, our people, our values and what we do as a business

  • Management of the company website - ensuring it is up to date with our latest work and initiatives

  • Management of the centralised design team, who service the whole business with its design needs

Background and experience;

  • Understanding of media industry and social publishing industry specifically

  • Experience planning, leading and executing corporate marketing campaigns that generate demand and leads.

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities

  • Experience planning, leading and executing PR campaigns and managing media relations with the marketing trade press specifically

  • Extensive knowledge of social media including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn Facebook and Snapchat

  • Experience of paid social media planning and PPC

  • Content marketing experience - creating content made for specific audiences and platforms

  • Event planning and execution on a small and large scale

  • Writing experience, and thought leadership specifically

  • Experience managing a team

  • Crisis communications, drafting of statements for internal and external use

  • Media trained and ability to train others
