We supervise the island's financial services industry for compliance with both conduct and prudential requirements, and under the anti-money laundering (AML), countering financing of terrorism (CFT), and countering proliferation financing (CPF) framework.
The JFSC is one of the few regulators globally to benefit from the Regulator and the entity Registrar operating under a single financial services commission.
Team: Technology and Data
Technology plays a vital role in helping the JFSC deliver against its overall business strategy, either directly or as a key enabler. The Technology and Data Division supports the JFSC in operating as a highly effective regulator by providing the necessary data, information, collaboration tools and infrastructure technologies that support high levels of user productivity, automation, industry engagement and operational efficiency.
ICT & Data lead several activities which support the JFSC ‘Strategic Anchors’ to:
› Facilitate business integrity.
› Harness technology and influence the digitalisation of Financial Services.
› Develop our people, systems, and capability to be a high performing organisation.
Role: Infrastructure Analyst (35 Hours Per week/ Permanent)
The ICT team provides technical expertise to the organisation by creating and maintaining an enabling work environment that allows employees to do their jobs efficiently and without interruption, using the most up-to-date and secure software available on modern on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
The successful candidate will deliver the following outcomes:
· Deliver daily, 2or 3 line support to a high standard across the JFSC’s on premise and cloud infrastructure. The person in this role must ensure timely fault remediation and well executed change management.
· Through continuous improvement and recommendation, aid in maintaining and developing a highly secure and modern infrastructure.
· Working with internal and external stakeholders, support delivery of core business objectives with cost and efficiency as key drivers.
· As a key team member, maintain existing cloud and on-prem systems including Microsoft cloud, VMware and storage solutions.

Contributing your technical expertise to position the JFSC as a leading digital regulator. Our internal staff and industry customers rely solely on the infrastructure and computer systems provided by the JFSC Technology & Data Team. It is pivotal that all systems are available, secure and running at an optimal speed and your role is essentially responsible for this.

· Confidence in your ability and competency to resolve technical issues and manage own workload effectively.
· Develop a in depth understanding of all infrastructure elements relating to the Technology & Data Infrastructure.

Are you suitable for this role?
This role would suit anyone with experience in information systems (Infrastructure) and is interested in further developing their career in IT. The willingness to attain relevant Microsoft qualification would be advantageous. Understanding ITIL Foundation level, Service Transition and Microsoft Cloud would be great.
