Position

This is a great opportunity to join an established market leader within the Storage Equipment Industry. A part of the growing IWS Group of companies, The Rack Group have a team of dedicated storage equipment inspectors and trainers and we are looking to add to our team. The company has been operating and expanding since 1982 and you will be joining a market leader at an extremely exciting time. You will be joining a growing organisation that has a real family feel, with a fantastic support network.


Although the company is based in South Yorkshire our customers and projects are on a national level. We are looking to create a team that can meet this level of coverage by having inspectors from around the country join it.


Your typical working week will involve a mixture of inspecting, reporting and engaging with clients, offering a professional, friendly and approachable outlook.


Trainee applicants will be supported and mentored throughout the training period and opportunities for further training (for example NVQ or SEMA Approved Rack Inspector) will be offered to the right candidate.


Main responsibilities include:

  • Storage Equipment Inspections in a variety of environments
  • Producing top quality reports to the highest standard
  • Providing technical and ongoing support to existing clients
  • The opportunity to be involved with developing existing and new client bases
  • Offering, where appropriate, other services and products to clients (and getting rewarded for it!)
  • An opportunity to deliver training courses

Requirements

Requirements for Experienced Inspectors:

  • SEMA Approved Racking Inspector (SARI) – Cantilever module preferred but not essential.
  • Must be computer literate, able to use MS Office and use a computer tablet
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred (training can be provided)
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • First rate report writing skills
  • Experience of training/mentoring others an advantage
  • Proactive, wider outlook

Expectations for Trainee Inspectors:

  • Undergo comprehensive training on all aspects of storage equipment inspection to enable you to become a qualified Storage Equipment Inspector through a structured mentorship program.
  • Develop your report writing skills to enable you to become a fully independent inspector within 6 months.
  • Develop a wider appreciation of other aspects of our business to enable you the opportunity for rapid advancement into the full Storage Equipment Inspector role.
  • Undertake training on all appropriate software
