The Rack Group have been established for over 40 years as the UK’s leading pallet racking repair and maintenance professionals. Position


Are you an experienced marketeer looking for full or part time remote work? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and innovative candidate to join our team as our Marketing Manager. This position requires an experienced candidate as the role is to cover maternity leave, with a fixed term contract covering November 2022 until September 2023.

Working within a close team of marketing professionals, the role will offer inspirational learning experiences and opportunities to any candidate.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the ownership and implementation of the marketing plan. The role involves working with both Rack Group team and the IWS Group marketing team, to deliver the marketing KPIs for the business. This is a results-orientated role with lead generation and revenue generation being key metrics that are measured and essential to the company achieving its revenue goals. Having a strong digital skill-set and experience in enhancing UX and customer-facing touchpoints is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the group marketing team and the wider senior management/business development team at Rack Group to deliver an effective and successful marketing plan, ensuring the values of the business are always represented.
  • Delivering a relevant and comprehensive marketing plan that delivers on the marketing KPIs, which are aligned to the business goals of the company.
  • Enhancing the UX of the customer, paying particular attention to improving the look and feel of all customer-facing touchpoints and materials, such as quotes and proposals and customer collateral.
  • Generating relevant leads for the business to achieve its growth target.
  • Using marketing technology to deliver effective and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Writing copy in the correct tone of voice that successfully and succinctly conveys the relevant message for marketing campaigns.
  • Compiling video and photographic case studies to succinctly showcase the company’s capabilities.
  • Exhibition and event management, including international exhibitions and internal events.
  • You will be responsible for executing the correct messaging and positioning of the Rack Group brand (and any other brand for our business).
  • Delivering the tangible outcomes of the marketing plan, ensuring best practice whilst delivering optimal results and performance.
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships and effectively communicating with stakeholders across the business, as well as external stakeholders such as the customer and supplier.
  • Owning marketing KPIs, which includes responsibility for the measurement and ROI of marketing expenditure.
  • Owning and optimising marketing supplier relationships and ensuring efficient and effective use of technological and creative resources to optimise marketing programmes.
  • Commissioning, conducting, and using customer and market insight to best inform our plans and to ensure the customer is at the heart of all we do.
  • Monitoring and benchmarking competitor marketing initiatives
  • Schedule weekly project review meetings to review SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Maintain commercial awareness of our key markets, competitor products, pricing and service offerings, and review regularly with key stakeholders with a view to ensuring our offer/range meets our clients demands.
  • Campaign creation and execution across multiple channels

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience gained through work history)
  • Experience of using marketing technology to deliver successful marketing campaigns, including Microsoft 365 / Click Dynamics.
  • Very strong creative skills, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite a bonus.
  • Experience of writing and creating marketing campaigns.
  • Good copy writing skills.
  • Ability and experience of budget creation and management.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of products and construction basics within the industry – ideal but not essential.
  • Experience with exhibition and event management is essential.
  • Experience organising international exhibitions would be a bonus.
  • Able to prioritise, develop work schedule, and influence others to achieve results.
  • Capable of working to challenging deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Initiative-taking, hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously when required.
