Position

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at what is an exciting time for this rapidly growing warehouse racking, repair, inspections, training and impact protection business. The company has built a market leading proposition based on its proprietary product offer, expertise and service levels, from project scoping and specification to installation and aftersales support. . With less than 50 employees, this is still a small business at heart. We have ambitious plans to double in size over the next three years and as part of the IWS Group, significant investment is being made in people, infrastructure, product development, systems, and marketing. The timing of this hire presents a rare opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape the direction of a PE- backed business and be highly accountable for its execution as it scales.

We are looking for an ambitious and professional self-starter, with an exceptional track record in key account management and new business development in a 3PL, Retail and FM or a related sector.

You will be responsible for all aspects of revenue generation, meeting the company’s growth targets and customer success. As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to help shape business strategy, contribute to business planning exercises including sales budgeting and setting KPI’s, and to nurture a winning, professional, and enjoyable culture.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management, retention, and optimisation of existing key accounts:
  • Develop, grow, and manage the sales pipeline
  • Tender and quote management:
    • From consultation and pricing to submission and closing
    • Own the commercial pricing of all projects and quotes
    • Develop an efficient and effective process for tender submissions
  • New business development.
  • Regularly review the competitive landscape, identifying threats and opportunities:
    • Ensure the business remains relevant and differentiated, and key customer relationships are protected.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, providing transparency and process to internal resources and materials planning requirements.
  • Integrate and promote new, complementary services from associate companies.
  • Create and nurture a high performance, positive working environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) and/or CSCS site safety card. The role also demnds experience of all aspects of account management within the pallet racking industry including;

  • Experience working with architectural drawings and design specification (CAD)
  • Knowledge of DC/Warehouse environments
  • Experience and knowledge of the systems of work and construction basics within the pallet racking industry
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety, along with regulations relevant to the industry.
