Position

IWS Group is looking to recruit a Financial Business Analyst to provide structured financial analysis to support the decision-making process in all areas of the business, with particular focus on the drive for further profitable growth. Reports will be produced using the groups suite of software including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Jet reporting, Sales D365 (CRM), Sage 50, Excel and Power BI. The Financial Analyst will also play an important role in supporting the continuing process of growth through acquisition.

The role requires an excellent level of IT skill and an analytical and pro-active mindset in order to execute commercially credible reports and analysis using the groups suite of software including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Jet reporting, Sales D365 (CRM), Sage 50, Excel and Power BI.

Our Financial Business Analyst will closely with IWS Group Executive team and with senior management of the subsidiary companies, as well as outside advisors.

Accountabilities and work examples include:

  • Gross margin analysis by project, product, geography, supplier etc
  • Detailed analysis of working capital to identify areas of improvement, with particular focus on stock levels, stock turn, pricing etc
  • Deep dive into significant variances against budget to identify the root cause and corrective actions
  • Identification, implementation and execution of working capital improvement initiatives
  • Oversight and reporting of progress on executive led strategic initiatives
  • Work with senior management to identify other initiatives to drive improved performance
  • Supporting the Group in ongoing implementing Business Central/ D365
  • Supporting the subsidiaries as required, including visits to sites
  • Data gathering and analysis to support group purchasing/contract initiatives
  • Responsible for analysis of capex requests in dialogue with the responsible manager and preparing requests for board review and approval process
  • Play a supporting role in M&A activity and integrating acquired companies into the Group

Requirements

  • Experience working in an SME/B2B environment, ideally with more than one entity/location in a similar industry (i.e. supply & installation; manufacturing)
  • Experience of working in an environment with tight reporting deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills, comfortable working with complex Excel models
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Sales 365 and Power BI would be a distinct advantage
  • Very good understanding of costing methodology, gross margin and working capital analysis
  • ERP implementation experience would be an advantage, especially Microsoft Business Central
  • Experience working with EU-based businesses would be extremely beneficial
