Position

IWS Group is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator - to spear head and develop a best-in-class tender & estimating function at its fast-growing subsidiary, Brandsafe. The Estimator will be responsible for creating and presenting commercially viable tender submissions at Brandsafe, including, but not limited to:

  • Produce professional, high-quality specifications, quotations, and technical submissions.
  • Take ownership of entire tender and PQQ process, from initial enquiry to final submission
  • Work with and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

The Estimator will work closely with:

  • Operations, Commercial, Sales and Project Delivery
  • Managing Director
  • QS/Estimators at Main Contractors, Architects, Design Managers and End Users

Day to day activity will include:

  • Providing accurate and analytical estimates for tender evaluation in line with business expected GM%
  • Coordinating pre-tender commercial reviews with key stakeholders to identify nuances, conditions and inclusions to submissions
  • Working collaboratively with Business Development team to increase tender enquiries
  • Working collaboratively with customer design team to promote core product range
  • Collaborating with Architects to manage & coach product selection and placement
  • Tracking and reporting on enquiry, quote and tender levels and conversions
  • Development of the tender/estimating processes, systems and capabilities
  • Long term development may include building out the estimating function and team

Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Good standard of general education and evidence of ongoing development
  • Significant estimating experience
  • Track record of successfully delivering tenders within the construction industry
  • Experience working with architects and main contractors
  • Proficient at pricing, analysing margins and producing accurate, commercially viable quotations
  • Demonstrable understanding of common forms of contracts
  • Experience of working within 3D models and the measurement and pricing of data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam or equivalent
