The Biochemistry Laboratory of IQS (http://gqbb.iqs.edu) requires a specialist in molecular biology and recombinant protein expression for a research contract.

Specific duties under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.

- Synthetic gene design and cloning in E. coli expression systems.

- Recombinant expression of enzymes in different vectors.

- Enzyme purification and enzyme characterisation.

- Preparation of technical reports and presentation of results.

- Graduate in Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related fields, at bachelor's or master's degree level.

- Experience in bioinformatics tools for the analysis of protein sequences and design of cloning strategies.

- Experience in molecular biology: cloning, PCR, restriction analysis, etc.

- Experience in biochemical techniques for the characterisation of enzymatic activities.

- Ability to work on the basis of defined milestones with tight deadlines.

- Communication and technical reporting skills.

- Autonomy in project management.

- Full-time contract for a period of eight months.
