Role Overview: We are seeking an International Credential Specialist to join our team in Hong Kong. In this critical role, you will evaluate and assess secondary and post-secondary academic credentials from various countries to support admissions decisions for our North American partner institutions. Your work will directly impact the academic journeys of international students by ensuring their qualifications are accurately recognised and aligned with our partner universities’ standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Academic Credentials: Assess international academic credentials (secondary and post-secondary) for undergraduate and graduate applicants to INTO North America partner institutions.
  • Support Admissions Processes: Assist in processing applications, including email correspondence and data entry, ensuring the completeness of credentials, such as transcripts and diplomas.
  • Cascade Applicants: Redirect applicants who are ineligible for one institution to other suitable options within our network.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with changes in foreign education systems and admissions standards to ensure accurate evaluations.
  • Timely Evaluations: Provide decision-ready evaluations for routine admissions and special projects, ensuring adherence to priority timelines.
  • Training and Support: Help train colleagues on assessment processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate Across Time Zones: Work flexibly with teams across different time zones to meet varying demands.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Expertise in international secondary and post-secondary credential evaluations.
  • Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with global teams.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the US educational system.
  • Experience with international student programs, such as ESL and academic preparatory programs.
  • Familiarity with credential evaluation organisations like AACRAO and WES.
  • Experience in a joint venture or highly matrixed organizational structure.
  • Experience living or working abroad.

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
