We’re looking for a dynamic Assistant Director of Marketing and International Student Recruitment to join our team at INTO Saint Louis University (SLU).


In this exciting role, you'll lead the strategic planning and execution of international recruitment and marketing plans to drive enrolment for INTO SLU programs and SLU degree-seeking programs.


Key Responsibilities:

International Student Recruitment:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global recruitment plan, including participation in virtual and in-person events such as exhibitions, seminars, and alumni gatherings.
  • Establish country-specific strategies in coordination with INTO regional offices to meet recruitment goals.
  • Travel internationally to promote SLU and its programs, and attend virtual events in different time zones.
  • Serve as the primary contact for INTO’s regional offices, providing in-depth knowledge of SLU programs.

Strategic Recruitment Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with SLU and INTO to provide analytics, support, and advice on effective recruitment and scholarship strategies.
  • Manage scholarship budgets and allocations.
  • Utilize analytical methods to identify recruitment opportunities and keep staff updated on progress and enrolment numbers.
  • Oversee the INTO SLU annual recruitment budget and provide regular progress reports.

Conversion:

  • Lead conversion campaigns, communicating directly with prospective students, parents, agents, and regional offices.
  • Develop and manage innovative conversion tools and platforms such as peer-to-peer recruitment, webinars, and calendar bookings.
  • Supervise student workers and interns supporting SLU recruitment and marketing activities.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across SLU and SLU-Madrid campuses, collaborating on recruitment strategies.
  • Cultivate loyal relationships with US-focused recruitment channels, including education counsellors, government organizations, and sponsoring organizations.

Training:

  • Provide ongoing training and support to external marketing and recruitment partners, accurately representing SLU program offerings at promotional events.
  • Train and support INTO regional office staff and global recruitment networks.
  • Work closely with SLU’s International Admissions to ensure accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes is communicated to potential applicants.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Well-organized with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to view processes holistically.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Understanding of international student needs and previous experience in student admissions or services is desirable.
  • Proficiency in a second language other than English is a plus.
