Position

Job Purpose (Role Definition):

To ensure the Final Assembly, Test, Calibration and Configuration of SLE manufactured products.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To ensure the Final Assembly, Test, Calibration and Configuration of SLE manufactured products.
  • To update test records and computerised database where appropriate to provide product traceability

  • To assist with prototype or pre-production builds as required
  • To ensure that work stations, tooling and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe manner at all times.
  • To work within specified Quality Assurance processes and guidelines
  • To ensure the H&S of the department is in accordance with the company guidelines and that any near misses or events are immediately reported.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required

Mandatory

  • BTEC Level 3 qualification or higher in engineering and electronics.
  • 2 years’ experience of product testing.
  • Knowledge and application of Test procedures and processes

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a small to medium sized company;
  • Basic knowledge of electric circuitry design, electronics and software

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Passionate about ensuring efficacy of medical devices and playing an integral part in a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with experience in root cause analysis;
  • Proactive in improving Test department processes
  • Good time management and effective at meeting deadlines.
