We also offer a full range of ambulatory infusion care devices for both hospital and homecare applications to customers across the UK and Ireland.

Products range from highly sophisticated capital equipment through to single-use disposables all of which can help improve outcomes of extremely sick patients.

Position

Job Purpose (Role Definition):

To lead, develop and manage the Group’s Commercial Activities including all revenue functions, marketing and product management functions, with input into business development and the financial performance of the Group’s product portfolio.


The role requires close collaboration with senior management across the Group especially Sales, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance and Manufacturing to deliver the Group’s revenue ambitions.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

§ Manage the commercial activities across the Group aligning marketing strategies to sales tactics with excellent customer support to drive revenue growth;

§ Define channel strategy per market including appointment of adequate direct or indirect (distributor) set up.

§ Develop business plans with partner distributors in key markets, aligning ambitions to market potential to deliver mutually agreed growth plans;

§ Develop strategies to create strong recurring revenue streams through tech support, consumable and education;

§ Ensure global revenue targets are set for and agreed with Sales and Technical Support Service, aligned to Group strategy;

§ Plan, develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue – through direct and indirect customers (distributors) - of all products within the IHG portfolio and identify any product / market gaps;

§ Develop and manage the strategic marketing plan and product roadmap for the Group;

§ Ensure Product Management plans are written and executed in line with business needs, especially around development and launch of new products;

§ Advise, and support the development market specific strategies to support sales throughout the world;

§ Work with the Executive Team to develop the corporate strategy;

§ Ensure that sales teams have suitable remuneration schemes to incentivise and reward profitable revenue growth across capital and disposable product portfolios;

§ Ensure clear visibility of forecasting – measuring monthly against target and delivery for all sales staff and ensuring accountability for accuracy of forecasting on a month-by-month basis;

§ Monthly reporting and analysis on sales revenues and margins.

§ Keep abreast of clinical need, competitor activity and market developments;

§ Draw insights from business trends, competitor analysis and customer feedback to identify opportunities for strategic growth;

§ Provide analysis of market trends and opportunities to the Executive Team and present to the Board as required;

§ Help set the Group’s promotional budget to maximise impact of the products and services offered by the company;

§ Challenge the use of promotional budgets to maximise value of any campaign to promote the Company or the products;

§ Ensure the Group’s PR output promotes the Company in the best possible light across all stakeholders;

§ Ensure that marketing communications maximise the products’ and the Group’s image through effective PR, advertising and social media;

§ Help identify and evaluate potential new products for development, licensing or distribution by the Group;

§ Help create and maintain a best-in-class customer experience and tech support functions add to the Group’s value proposition;

§ Determine level of participation in trade fairs / conferences / events to present products to maximise the Group’s reputation;

§ Attend industry functions, association events and conferences, and provide informative feedback on market activity;

§ Uphold brand values throughout the Group to ensure consistency of messaging and value proposition;

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required

Mandatory

§ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing or scientific subject;

§ In depth knowledge of the Global Life Science market and strong knowledge of Medical Devices

§ Documented experience in scaling up innovative products with strong focus on US market.

§ Exceptional track record in / knowledge of how to grow business globally;

§ Experience in driving revenue strategies in capital equipment and consumables;

§ Experience of implementing Key Account Management strategies / leveraging Key Opinion Leaders to drive sales growth;

§ Experience of increasing profile and competing with larger businesses for products and services;

§ Solution/consultative selling experience, and able to build strong relationships with customers and key opinion leaders.


Desirable

§ Experience selling into C-suite level/ collaborating very closely with them; and very importantly working/knowing very well how to work, with GPOs/IDNs.

§ Good understanding of the US market, FDA Regulatory processes and reimbursement processes;

§ Experience in growing SME business within the Medical Devices sector;

§ MBA.


Key Skills and Competencies

§ Ability to negotiate across different cultures through sound knowledge of international business;

§ Understanding of different payment and commercial terms to reduce risk around shipping and payments whilst offering flexibility for customers to purchase;

§ Good understanding of Global regulatory regimes and their impact on market access and reimbursement pathways;

§ Demonstrable drive, determination to succeed and ability to deliver revenue growth;

§ Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory), and an ability to communicate effectively in other languages;

§ Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and report writing skills;

§ Proven track record in contributing to the growth of an SME or a subsidiary of a larger company;

§ Visionary yet detailed, hands-on leader with experience in working in a publicly traded environment;

§ Strong leadership qualities, good motivator, ability to manage and develop team success;

§ A sound knowledge of marketing techniques and analysis and the ability to implement them globally;

§ Knowledge of how best to use social media in Life Sciences;

§ Strong analytical skills with the ability to present to senior management;

§ Able to affect opinions and influence decisions through the use of persuasive, intelligent argument and innovative sales and marketing solutions, whilst maintaining integrity and respect of all cultures;
