Company Description

Innovyze is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Engineering Services Team to assist customers and help develop our business in the UK and around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global market-leading software company within the civil and environmental engineering field. We focus on water management including drainage design, flood management and water supply systems.

Position

The role is in our water supply team working alongside other technical support staff, the sales team and product managers.

Based in the UK, your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical customer support
  • Training
  • Writing technical articles
  • Implementation services

You will provide technical support for Innovyze products, by phone, email or web demonstration, taking ownership of enquiries to ensure that they are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. If the enquiry requires a change to the software you will liaise with the development team to ensure that any updates meet customer needs.

You will write and present training courses, whether in person, remotely or using self-guided courses. Some short-term travel may be required.

We are increasingly moving in to a ‘Live’ environment where data is used in real time to manage a water supply network. You could be involved in deploying these environments to customer networks.

We are seeking an individual with experience of working in the water supply industry, preferably with InfoWorks WSPro or other water supply modelling packages.

Requirements

You should be someone who is patient, engaging and knowledgeable when dealing with support enquiries, but also self-motivated, with an attention to detail when analysing the software. You must have excellent communication skills including fluent spoken and written English and strong presentation skills. A Bachelor’s degree or above in an engineering or related discipline such as, Geography, Civil Engineering or Environment Science is essential.

The following would be a significant advantage:

  • Experience of CAD and GIS.
  • An enthusiasm for working with IT infrastructure.
  • Interest in scripting such as Ruby or SQL
