Innovyze operates in the water infrastructure software market which is experiencing structural growth, driven by multiple factors, including: emerging economies building water infrastructure to accommodate rapid urbanization; developed countries requiring increasingly sophisticated management of aging water resources; increasing levels of storms and floods as a result of climate change; and the need to manage the cost of water infrastructure ownership as total water infrastructure assets continue to grow.
The Senior DevOps Manager, SaaS Platform will lead a team of DevOps Engineers and drive a culture of innovation while promoting engineering best practices. Reporting to the VP of engineering, this person will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, services, and applications for Innovyze’s SaaS platform for Operations Analytics and AI.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, hire and manage a global team of passionate DevOps engineers by providing clear direction, removing obstacles, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and providing strong mentorship across all levels.
- Establish the vision for Innovyze’s Cloud infrastructure and develop a strong DevOps function, attracting and cultivating strong talent; be able to mentor and grow existing technical talent within the organization.
- Leverage a historically strong (and industry leading) product offering and identify/ execute a migration pathway towards containerized cloud offerings, including CI/CD toolchain, site reliability, etc.
- Foster a culture of innovation and promote DevOps best practices across teams and locations while ensuring that the correct processes are in place and followed.
- Drive predictable operation with measurable improvement in efficiency/time of shipping releases, SLA delivery, and uptime.
- Ensure excellence by fostering an environment of fearless engagement, emphasizing a balance between speed and quality, while encouraging healthy conflict and raising the red flag when risks arise.
- Set clear expectations and vision for the global DevOps organizations, setting and tracking goals and by soliciting, synthesizing, and delivering feedback to team members.
- Be a technical thought leader and effectively convey technical strategy.
- Drive the strategy to recruit high performing DevOps professionals and partner closely with HR on strategies to retain them.
- Partner with the Software Engineering and Product Management teams to ensure customer-focused Cloud roadmap development, and on objectives that the team can effectively deliver.
- Cross functionally collaborate to drive strategic growth initiatives.
