Our digital, data and technology solutions are used by globally recognised public and private sector brands operating in a variety of sectors including Civil Defence, Healthcare, Sustainable Environment and Land Asset Management, and Digital Democracy.

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Data Scientist to join our team.

• Use AI techniques and Machine Learning to solve complex business problems in various domains (recent examples include the application of NLP to support better environmental decision making and the use of ML models to identify opportunities for improving patient safety)
• Undertake exploratory analysis and modelling to identify opportunities for us to use data to deliver new insights and capabilities for our clients
• Produce and bring to life compelling data stories backed by powerful visualisations
• Contribute to an open, progressive and passionate data community focussed on the safe and ethical application of new technologies
• Contribute subject matter mentorship and steering within the InformedENGINEERING team

• A passion to achieve transformational outcomes for our clients through the application of data science in a collaborative environment
• A track record of delivering successful outcomes through data science
• A strong commercial data science background building and operating models in real business contexts
• Deep experience with a modern data language (e.g. Python, R, Julia)
• An excellent understanding statistical methods and modelling
• Competency in leading open-source ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with hypercloud computing ecosystems (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience of integrating structured and non-structured data from a range of sources
• Able to work under pressure and to short deadlines with a clear sense of priority within a fast-paced and agile environment
• Excellent work planning capabilities and time management skills
• Ability to balance conflicting deadlines and priorities
• A meticulous attention to detail
• Punctuality, reliability, and a clear commitment to your role
