Position

The systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis of business needs, formulating an ‘as is’ understanding and working with others to devise a ‘to be’ solution using a combination of existing and new technology. The post holder captures, analyses and documents requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with an Agile software delivery. The post holder oversees short and long-term planning, including contribution to technology roadmaps, requirements elicitation, solution design, testing and deployment for all Inenco systems.

In addition, the successful candidate will use their collaborative skills to proactively work with business representatives, so they can understand and evaluate business processes and analyse key requirements.  They will also be required to work with business users to help improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.to technology roadmaps and target architecture artefacts across the Inenco systems estate.

Role Responsibilities

  • Use collaborative skills to proactively work with representatives from the organisation, evaluate business needs and recommend effective solutions. 
  • Write functional and technical documentation as well as support workshops with the business as required.
  • Authors user stories, acceptance criteria and artefact as required to support Agile software delivery
  • Produce problem statements and solution plans and to address them with a view to achieving operational efficiency.  Reducing or removing duplication, reducing costs, improving customer experience
  • Create and improve systemised process flows
  • Identifying options for potential improvements and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
  • Facilitating and overseeing cross-functional workshops to aid the understanding of problems, design of changes and re-engineering of processes
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s A-C grade including Maths and English
  • Minimum 3 A Levels A-C (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical mind Strong conceptual ability, both for analytical problem solving and shaping the design of solutions
  • The ability to look at issues and requirements from a business perspective and then translate this into a solution
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill Specification writing and facilitating Workshops/Meeting
  • Experience of working within a project governance framework Highly motivated; consistently takes initiative; demonstrated ability to work independently but under supervision Drive, ambition, goal oriented and enthusiasm
  • Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise their workload, and that of others
  • At least 5 previous years’ experience as an Analyst
  • Understands principles of Business and IT strategy and can work with senior business stakeholders
  • Understands the principles of system and user acceptance testing and the link to requirements documentation and is able to produce relevant scripts
  • Structured and logical approach to problem solving with the ability to quickly analyse and understand a problem and identify practical/pragmatic solutions
  • Can construct complex data, business system and process models and perform value-stream mapping
  • Able to run cross-company workshops and resolve complex requirements conflicts through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Perform cost benefit analysis and contribute to benefits realisation
  • Demonstrates strong commercial awareness
  • Can construct process mapping to support process re-engineering activities
  • Excellent communicator, listener and facilitator and can present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and management skills with experience of working with Agile, iterative and Waterfall delivery approaches
