We are looking for a head of business development to come and join our hugely successfully Enterprise arm of Inenco.

This role plays a fundamental part in the growth of the Enterprise channel, in partnership with the Enterprise Senior Management Team.

The purpose of this role is to provide a high-level delivery in line with the agreed provisions, with full accountability for the overall data and partnership strategy whilst leading key projects to deliver results.

You won’t shy away from a challenge, work well in a busy, challenging and dynamic business and most importantly you will want to win. 

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • To be the expert in the following areas this includes data, partnerships, digital delivery
  • To be the face of Inenco for our strategic client(s) and ensure the customer satisfaction level is maintained to a high standard
  • Accountability for the data strategy including lead generation, campaigns and strategic direction
  • Accountability for the partnership strategy including building/maintaining strategic relationships, budget management and contractual arrangements
  • Lead and drive the digital strategy for Enterprise, including the CRM platform
  • Own, manage and lead key Enterprise initiatives to support growth and to deliver/meet budget expectations
  • Work with the management team to improve our employee experience; this includes recruitment and retention
  • Plan and implement efficiencies and optimisation in the Enterprise Channel in partnership with the Head of Operations
  • Identify commercial opportunities and create strategic plans from concept to delivery
  • Representing the business by leading and supporting change projects including technology creation and adoption
  • Identify, pursue and realise business development and ‘new business’ opportunities in line with annual sales targets to maximise value. sales pipeline creation, management & closure utilising dedicated CRM platform
  • Planning and prioritisation of all services in line with client frameworks, strategies, business/client objectives and escalating potential risks to relevant areas of Inenco; and client/s where applicable

Other information

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience
  • A good understanding of energy industry, ideally B2B (desirable)
  • Proven track record of managing and building strategic client and partner relationships
  • Proven ability to explore business performance and deliver analysis that has commercial impact
  • Analytical skills to be able to analyse and interpret statistics and reports to identity business improvement opportunities
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Evidence of working in a growing, multi sited business with experience in change management
  • Confident, motivational, highly driven, focussed and ambitious
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and rapport building skills
  • Has commercial acumen and readily embraces a challenge
  • Track record of delivering and running structured projects in a fast-paced business to business environment (ideally sales)
  • Presentation skills demonstrating stakeholder management and engagement
  • Ability to liaise with adjacent departments in service delivery up to director level
