Position

To lead and be responsible for financial control, systems, transaction processing and the production of core financial information (both for management and statutory purposes).  Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation/standards, driving performance of the function to deliver a top-class control and reporting environment.

  • Balance sheet and capital management with a focus on cash/working capital
  • Production and delivery of month-end finance reports into the FP&A and business partnering functions
  • Production of year end statutory accounts for the group
  • System and process improvement designed to tighten financial control and create insightful MI and KPIs
  • Lead for audit and tax with nominated advisors
  • Manage the finance operations, billing and financial/management accounts teams
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and applicable tax laws
  • Company secretarial
  • Responding to ad hoc information requests from various stakeholders (Investors, CEO, budget holders etc)

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA with significant PQE
  • Deep understanding of current accounting standards, compliance and tax laws
  • Demonstrable strength in financial control, balance sheet management and process improvement in businesses with legacy and modern systems
  • Experience of accounting in environments with complex long-term commercial and financial constructs
  • Ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholder engagements across all levels of an organisation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and make recommendations, alongside the capacity to drive through business change
  • This role is a Grade 10 and for the right candidate we are offering up to and including £79,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
