Position

This is a senior role and will play a pivotal role in providing commercial and operational support to a variety of non-finance stakeholders, driving and challenging the status quo as the business continues to increase its growth agenda.

To provide insight and commercially focussed analysis to Enterprise SMT and all partner functions. Enabling informed decision making, supporting and driving growth throughout the business.

  • Financial analysis and control of the full sales cycle from initial sale to revenue to cash – tailored to enable decision making
  • Forecasts of financial performance from sales through to cash
  • Preparation and regular review of annual budgets, forecasts and business plans
  • To contribute to the establishment, maintenance and enhancement of robust procedures and processes to ensure the integrity of assets and sound financial management
  • Improvement in customer retention via renewal rate analysis and reporting
  • To own the commission policy for the relevant business area, ensure the schemes meets business needs and safeguards the business
  • Minimise downtime by overseeing the commission process, and ensuring is the process is efficient/ accurate and aligned to business needs
  • Drive cash conversion with control/monitoring/reporting of invoicing and accrued revenue
  • Prepare weekly/monthly MI for the relevant business area, provide expert insight, trends and recommendations
  • Clean audit (in particular accrued revenue) due to robust revenue recognition and cash collection cycles
  • Drive commerciality and scalability through the business unit focusing on all commercial elements of performance and measurement
  • Drive staff and partner engagement with relevant forecasting and analysis
  • Drive value to P&L by assisting with leakage control

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting qualification (eg. ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Extensive experience in a similar role in a business to business environment
  • Demonstrated exposure within Capital Markets and/or Private Equity
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages, more specifically Excel
  • High level analytical skills, commercially focused
  • A demonstrable ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to tight deadline
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think ‘out of the box’
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to ‘dig into the detail’ to deliver insightful information but also pragmatic in approach
  • Ability to build relationships across the senior management team and with all levels of staff
  • Ability to present and communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues and strong written skills
  • High standard of commercial acumen with the ability to influence key decisions and deliver the outcome for the business
  • Experience of inbound/outbound telesales environments preferable (desirable)
  • Understanding of commercial and financial value drivers across long term customer relationships, including understanding CLV (customer lifetime value) and base modelling
  • This role is a Grade 8 and for the right candidate we are offering up to and including £54,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
