Position

This is a homebased role, covering the South of the country. The Associate Solutions Engineer will be a graduate in the field of energy and water and will support other experienced engineers with a portfolio of client contracts ensuring their contributions are delivered to a professional standard and within budget.

This will involve supporting experienced Engineers with all aspects of carbon and energy related consultancy products and services delivered by our Solutions team; with responsibilities including eligibility assessment and application, and provision of product deliverables, which may include reports, liaison with scheme administrator on behalf of the client, project management of implementation of measures, and generation of appropriate evidence packs. Typical services include ESOS, CRC, GHG reporting, EUETS, CCAs and energy audits. 

The ideal candidate will assist Energy Solutions Engineers in providing high quality services to energy and water clients covering mandatory (ESOS, CRC and its successor SECR, CCA) and discretionary products, on multi-year contracts. 

The Associate Solutions Engineer will be expected to carry out any necessary training to learn how to identify consumption/cost savings opportunities on-site with the client and ensure that clients are kept up-to-date with all aspects of relevant energy/climate change legislation. They will also be expected to contribute positively to ensuring that contracts are renewed and that new sales opportunities are identified with existing clients.

The tasks and responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and are a guide to core service delivery. These duties are subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business.

Requirements

Engineering or relevant technical degree or lesser technical qualifications combined with relevant experience

Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience of interpreting large amounts of complex data

Experience of working in an energy management/energy consultancy role is desirable but not essential

Demonstrates aptitude to work within the energy environment

 

Good understanding of the legislative detail in schemes such as CCA/CRC/ESOS/EUETS/GHG reporting

Able to interpret and provide insight from energy and carbon data

Experience of energy auditing and the production of reports

Excellent communication, analytical and numerical skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Able to effectively establish, build and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders to deliver business outcomes

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of client interaction to implement the added value solutions.  

Proficient user of Microsoft Office

Full UK Driving Licence

Comply with health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

Adhere to data protection procedures, ensuring that sensitive business data remains confidential.

Undertake any training relevant to the requirements of the role.
