Position

We are currently looking for an analytical individual who ideally can present clearly and manipulate data sets, to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong customer focus, working to create the best outcome for the customer by taking ownership on resolving any queries raised.

This is a permanent role and the successful candidate will have a good eye for detail and a pro-active approach to solving problems with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft excel. The successful candidate will be responsible for adding value to utility data by undertaking technical and forensic analysis focussed on reporting, query/alarm resolution and saving/revenue opportunity identification, investigation and implementation.

Whilst experience in the industry is not essential, the ideal candidate would also have experience of working within the utilities sector and would have the knowledge and understanding of utility costs and consumption usage with the ability to effectively deal with customer queries surrounding this.

Requirements

  • Produce accurate analytical and financial reports for clients within agreed timescales, whilst looking for opportunities to improve and add value to meet and exceed the customer’s needs
  • Review, analyse and resolve all technical queries, engaging with suppliers, 3rd parties and customers within agreed timescales and throughout the process (where appropriate)
  • Be an escalation point for complex or long standing data queries
  • Work to maximise analytical savings for customers by looking for opportunities to identify potential savings and manage these opportunities throughout the process with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure customer and supplier information is validated, which may include completing non-commodity charge analysis and costings upon request
  • Ensure understanding and compliance of all analytical procedures and contribute to Quality requirements in relation to process mapping & work instructions

  • Ability to successfully navigate and use Microsoft office packages, in particular working knowledge of Excel

Successful candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least 3 A Levels (or equivalent)
  • Embraces change and talks to team positively
  • Shows an interest in others and able to work on contacts outside of own team to help ‘get the job done’
  • Previous experience of working within an analysis role, involving the manipulation of data for reporting
  • Takes ownership for own development and looks for ways to improve skills and understanding
