Position

We have an exciting, brand-new opportunity for a Principal Advisor – Human Rights in Supply Chains to join our Slave-Free Alliance (SFA) Consultancy team.


As a Principal Advisor - Human Rights in Supply Chains, you will expertly lead a team of Advisors who work to support SFA members and clients to address the risk of modern slavery and labour exploitation in their operations and supply chains, while maintaining a lead advisor position for a smaller portfolio of members. Working closely with our Consultancy Director, the Principal Advisor will drive transformation in the Consultancy team and co-develop and deliver a new strategy. Acting as an SFA ambassador, you will support and enable organisational growth and develop strong strategic stakeholder relationships to grow and maintain the SFA membership and client base.


To be successful in the Principal Advisor role you will need to have experience in managerial and strategic level roles and transforming and growing high-performing and dynamic teams, with the ability to create and deliver goal-orientated strategies. You will be passionate about team development and driving organisational growth. You will ideally have strategic and operational knowledge of business and human rights, ESG, and best practice within the private sector to provide effective support to the SFA Consultancy Team and SFA members and clients.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in managerial and strategic level roles driving team performance and setting up teams for success (essential)
  • Proven experience supporting a small organisation through rapid growth by implementing effective and scalable team management systems (essential)
  • Experience managing a team of consultants with a track record of implementing strategies to improve efficiencies, embed consistency, grow a high-performing team, generate high-quality output and deliver business growth (essential)
  • Project management skills with experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and directing resource and budget plans to ensure successful project delivery (essential)
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to direct, influence and persuade (essential)
  • Strategic experience in human rights/ESG/corporate responsibility in a private company and/or consultancy (desirable)
  • Strategic and operational knowledge business and human rights, ESG and best practice within the private sector (desirable)
  • International experience (desirable)
  • Experience of working with technology solutions for business and human rights (desirable)

Role Details

Job type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Competitive
