Position

We are looking for a Training Specialist to join our North Carolina Comprehensive Regional Center (NC Center). The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful, detail-oriented team player looking to help build and implement training products. This person will be responsible identifying, devising and delivering effective training. This role will provide you with the unique opportunity to network, conduct outreach and work with a global communications team. More importantly, your work will help provide knowledge to the general public as we work towards ending modern slavery.

Requirements

  • Identify key training networks.
  • Devise training products (brochures, facilitator guides, presentations, supporting materials) for multiple audiences.
  • Ensure that all training (online, instructor-led and blended) meets the organization’s defined World Class Training Standards.
  • Champion the deployment of digital learning and make instructionally informed decisions about training delivery methods (Instructor-led training – virtual and in-person and online synchronous).
  • Utilize formal and informal training feedback to consistently improve training design and learning outcomes.
  • Deliver an effective training program in line with Hope for Justice’s strategic direction.
  • Conduct training needs analysis, identifying different needs for different audiences.
  • In line with the Communications department, manage the visuals of training products and materials, ensuring high-quality materials in line with the Hope for Justice brand guide.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Learning and US Program Director, create and implement evaluation methods for the training program.
  • Develop and maintain a network of professional connections and supporters to help sustain a long-term training strategy for the US
  • Network with civil society organisations, statutory service providers and businesses in vulnerable communities to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking and to generate training opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach to vulnerable communities and people who are victims of sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, bonded labor or domestic servitude, identify as sex workers, street-based homelessness, refugees, those with mental health or substance abuse issues to raise awareness of trafficking and generate training opportunities.
  • Respond to ad hoc assignments requested from time to time by managers.
  • Ensure harmonious working relationships with all Hope for Justice departments and staff.
  • Work at all times in line with HFJ policies and procedures and the wider strategy, culture and ethos of Hope for Justice.
  • Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with our work and reporting concerns if they do arise.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: Up to $60,000 depending on experience
