Position

Hope for Justice is seeking an experienced and empathetic Clinical Therapist to join the team at our North Carolina Comprehensive Regional Center (NC Center), in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The successful candidate will provide front-line psychological and therapeutic support to clients, who are survivors of human trafficking. The role requires someone who is able to work under pressure, be a good team player and flex to the varying demands of the role. Therapy will be delivered in a trauma- informed, individualized, and survivor- centered method. Requirements

  • Provide direct psychological and therapeutic support to survivors experiencing complex trauma issues, implementing a range of psychological interventions, including trauma focused and survivor-centred therapy.
  • Coordinate with other direct services staff engaged in direct survivor-facing roles to build and strengthen the whole team’s ability to provide holistic care.
  • Participate in internal communication to ensure the highest level of services are being provided to survivors.
  • Provide clinical advice to Hope for Justice staff and managers about ethical and effective ways to address complex trauma and wellbeing needs of survivors.
  • Help design and implement processes for monitoring progressions in the wellbeing and resilience of every survivor throughout their time in the program.
  • Contribute to the design and development of any clinical and/or therapeutic programs and guidelines.
  • Support assessment processes for new intakes and as clients move from one phase to another during their time with Hope For Justice.
  • Manage highly complex information and sensitive situations involving exposure to highly distressing, traumatic and emotional material and communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients.
  • Conduct relevant research to assist in the improvement and evaluation of Hope for Justice services in consultation with senior manager.
  • Attend team meetings and casework supervision meetings as required.
  • Communicate with referring agents and clinicians in the community involved in the ongoing management of individual clients.
  • Generate reports, presentations, and conduct research as needed and requested.
  • Manage the therapeutic intervention phase of the Program Manual, following protocol and delivering all direct services as listed.
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects and tasks as requested.
  • Ensure harmonious working relationships with all Hope for Justice departments and staff.
  • Work at all times in line with HFJ policies and procedures and the wider strategy, culture and ethos of Hope for Justice.
  • Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with our work and reporting concerns if they do arise.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: Up to $57,000 depending on experience
