Position

We are seeking newly or recently (< 3 years in industry) qualified chemistry graduates and Ph.D./Post Docs to join our Drug Discovery Chemistry Team.

We have a number of opportunities in laboratory-based roles which focus on the synthesis of target molecules, but which also offer opportunity to develop molecule design and Medicinal Chemistry expertise.

Successful candidates will play a key role in drug discovery project teams, interacting with scientists from other disciplines, including computational chemistry, molecular pharmacology and drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK).

For the right candidates, these roles provide an excellent opportunity to begin, or continue, a research career in an industry-leading company offering the unique environment of structurally enabled GPCR Drug Discovery.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates whose profile will include:

  • A minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent, awarded (or expected) in a chemistry discipline
  • (For post-graduate qualified candidates), a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with a strong synthetic component
  • High level understanding of organic synthesis and ability to apply such understanding in a practical setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability for lateral thinking
  • Enthusiasm and motivation for drug discovery
  • Ability to work highly effectively both in team environments and independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, in English
