Poste

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Scientist to support the Molecular Pharmacology team. The candidate will be part of the Molecular Pharmacology group which supports our drug discovery programmes.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Sterile cell culture techniques
  • Handling of adherent and suspension mammalian and insect cell cultures
  • Experience with transient transfection methods for DNA and Baculovirus protocols
  • Generation & maintenance of stable and immortalised cell lines
  • Equipment quality control (QC) experiments
  • Automation experience, preferably with small molecule compound management
  • Comprehensive and accurate record keeping and reporting
  • Organisation skills such as maintaining lab consumable stocks, ordering materials and expression logistics

Profil

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to degree level (Grade 2.1 or equivalent) and/or with significant professional experience in biological sciences
  • Previous laboratory experience in an industry environment is desirable
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of cell culture
  • Organised and enthusiastic and comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment
  • Competent user of MS Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonnel skills
