Posizione

We are currently looking to strengthen our Molecular Pharmacology team and are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist, to join our team. The Molecular Pharmacology team is responsible for supporting targets from Target Validation through to Candidate Nomination.

Main tasks will include:

  • Project management
  • Developing robust in vitro assays to support Hit ID
  • Routine screening, data upload and QC of results in internal databases
  • Working with primary cell assays to help establish Target Engagement and Biomarkers assays to support compound progression
  • Mentoring others (may have direct line management responsibilities)
  • Initiation and management of studies at Contract Research Organisations
  • Regular communication and interaction with external research partners
  • Technical and strategic input into area of expertise

Requisiti

  • Extensive experience working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, pharmaceutical/biotech environment with a track record of scientific achievements and contributions.
  • Proven project management experience (effective project management skills)
  • Therapeutic expertise within the areas of immunology or neuroscience
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team, whilst being highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Analytical thinking and good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, as well as the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written reports, in English.

Desirable but not essential includes:

  • Previous experience with GPCRs
  • Previous line management responsibilities.
