Posizione

We are seeking a highly motivated analytical chemist to join our analytical and purification team within the medicinal chemistry department. The role has a broad impact across our discovery and development functions.

For the right candidate, the role provides an opportunity to work with senior scientists to develop and apply best practice in a growing company on scientifically challenging issues at the cutting edge of discovery and development of new medicines. Full training will be provided, for the successful candidate, on the wide range of analytical techniques used at Sosei Heptares.

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, and:

  • Have a relevant background in analytical chemistry and preferably experience in state-of-the-art purification systems and NMR.
  • Be involved in both analytical and preparative separation aspects within our HPLC-MS, SFC-MS and UPLC-MS capabilities.
  • Will help support our compound quality control, as part of the overall compound management process, utilising UPLC-MS instrumentation.
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to meet team requirements demonstrating excellent time management skills.

Requisiti

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 2.1 degree in Analytical Chemistry (or closely related discipline).
  • Relevant experience is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic to learn new skills and techniques to contribute to the ongoing discovery research.
  • Proactive and responsive to the challenges of the role.
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills and a capability to operate in a proactive, collaborative and entrepreneurial biotech culture.
  • Clearly communicate in English both verbally and in written reports.
