LCCA courses are unique in that, they may be taught across the week (in the day); in two evenings in the week and at the weekend and follow a blended learning approach. Position

The Role:


The Strategic Planning and Analysis Manager will provide critical information, insights, and analysis to support evidenced-based decision-making on institutional-wide strategy and planning. Working closely with senior members of the department and across organizational boundaries, the role involves interrogating data from various sources, producing reports and briefings, drafting and updating policy documents, and contributing to systems maintenance and development. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the management team, collaborating with colleagues across Academic Schools and Professional Service Departments to establish and advance our strategic direction.

Requirements

Role Responsibilities:


Conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluation of complex data sources to inform institutional planning, policy, and decision-making.

Lead the development, oversight, and reporting related to the College’s Workload Allocation Management System (WAMS), including data analysis, policy drafting, and systems maintenance.

Monitor and benchmark the College’s performance across the sector, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Enhance the department’s Business Intelligence and Management information offering through the development of data visualization applications and tools.

Support senior colleagues on priority projects, undertaking scoping, data interrogation, and evaluation to enhance outcomes.

Advocate for the improvement of data literacy and the best use of data across the institution, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships and networks across all areas of the College and external organizations.


Role Requirements:


Relevant BA and postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience

Evidence of a high level of analytical, communication, and problem-solving ability

Knowledge and understanding of UK Higher Education operations.

Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and IT skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.

Ability to manage projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
