The European Climate Foundation (ECF) is a major philanthropic initiative working to help tackle the climate crisis by fostering the transition to a net-zero emission society at the national, European and global level. We support around 700 partner organisations to carry out activities that drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement, contribute to the public debate on climate action and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.
The ECF brings together diverse perspectives and backgrounds to find the best innovative solutions to tackle climate change.
We are in a new polycrisis world. The operating environment in which the ECF and and its ecosystem works will only increase in complexity in the years to come, as the transition advances and touches all aspects of economies and societies.
ECF’s Strategic Foresight function, situated within the CEO office, works to help the organisation navigate this complexity and look ahead. Strategic foresight contributes to developing the organisation-wide strategic vision; ensuring organisational robustness and agility; alongside tracking drivers, trends and signals and investigating new issues that will become pressing for the climate community. The team is now looking for a highly committed and energetic intern to help continue developing the program. The role is offered for 6 months, starting as soon as possible, based in Paris or Brussels. The position will be overseen by the Strategic Foresight director.
