The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.

We support over 500 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.

Position

Context of the role

In the last years, ECF has increased its transformation pace to provide the different functional domains of the organization (Strategy, Finance, Grantmaking, HR & Staff support) with processes and systems that can support the rapid growth of the Foundation.

ECF has decided to reinforce its transformation capabilities with a new team of Transformation partners who will accelerate change delivery as facilitators of multi-functional teams.

About the role

In this new role reporting to the HR director, the HR Business Analyst is responsible for optimizing the use of the HRIS within ECF, implementing standardized and clear policies about data and information streams, working on tailor made reporting on HR key performance indicators and automatizing processes and information flow.

Key responsibilities

Working closely with both the HR and IT team, you will be responsible to:

Optimize the use of the HRIS in accordance with the business needs (recruitment, payroll, talent management etc.)

  • Perform an in-depth cleaning of the database
  • Model the existing processes (AS-IS) and propose operational improvements
  • Develop on-demand reporting to enhance a clear and high-level business understanding
  • Align stakeholders on objectives, progress & address issues collaboratively
  • Become the HRIS functional reference for users.
  • Develop training material to increase business value through a better usage of technology

Ensure proper information management and documentation in the HR department

  • Be owner of the storage and structuration of all HR documentation
  • Ensure a clear and efficient information flow regarding HR topics, and put in place automation when relevant
  • Manage and update HR / Employee SharePoint site
  • Ensure a regular follow-up and monitoring of main HR KPI

Requirements

Experience and competencies

  • HR professional with a genuine interest in IT topics
  • A minimum of 3/4 years of relevant professional experience (HR project management, HRIS specialist, Business Analyst)
  • Relevant experience in process and systems transformation
  • Articulate communicator, able to translate business needs in process & systems requirements, structured and organized
  • Knowledge of process modelling tools and methodologies (BPMN standard) preferred
  • Project management skills, familiarity with PMI & Scrum principles are an asset
  • Written and verbal communications in English, the ability to speak other European languages is welcome
  • Passionate about climate action with a genuine interest in the mission and values of the ECF
