Position

About the role

As Grants Officer you will be part of the GrantsHub team and report to the ECF Director, Grants Management. You will provide grant management support to 2-3 programmes. You will ensure consistency of approach and compliance with the internal processes. You will serve as the liaison between the programmatic work and Grantees and other central services teams, like the Legal and Compliance and Finance teams.


Key responsibilities

You will support the programmes in their daily grantmaking activities:

  1. Carry-out due diligence on new and existing grantees;
  2. Generate and monitor grant requests in FLUXX, ECF’s grant management system;
  3. Monitor budget and follow-up the grant contracting stage;
  4. Support programmatic teams with budget planning and ensure reconciliation between planning budgets and the FLUXX system.
  5. Monitor grants through review of grant reporting (financial and narrative reporting);
  6. Handle grant payments in close relation with the Finance department;
  7. Monitor grant closing activities;
  8. Support teams with usage of core systems and tools;
  9. Other related administrative tasks to the grant management process.

Requirements

Experience and competencies

  1. You have 2-3 years of experience in an administrative and financial role.
  2. You have a genuine interest in the ECF mission and values.
  3. You are computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office and excellent knowlegde of Excel.
  4. You are comfortable working with new software.
  5. You have an experience in budget oversight and planning.
  6. You have an eye for details.
  7. You have impeccable ethics.
  8. You pride yourself in delivering high quality output within ambitious time-frames.
  9. You like to engage with various stakeholders and you have a customer-oriented approach.
  10. You understand the importance and value of teamwork, but you are also comfortable working autonomously.
  11. Excellent command of English and fluency in other European languages are an advantage.
  12. Above all, you have a friendly and open personality.
