Finance & Economics Associate, Strategic Communications (flexible location)

European Climate Foundation London United Kingdom Strategic Communications
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

We are seeking to appoint a Finance & Economics Associate, Strategic Communiciations. You will be part of the Strategic Communications team and will report to the Senior Associate, Economics and Finance.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a broad range of communications activities (media, digital, internal communications), with some experience on either finance, economics or climate change topics as an added bonus. If you are up to date with how digital strategies can complement traditional media work, and are keen to work on the nexus between climate change and finance, we’d love to hear from you.

Knowledge of the climate finance landscape in European countries is a plus, but an ability to learn quickly about technical topics and dig into current debates will be most valuable. Experience on new media and digital strategies for communicating with a variety of audiences is more important than a technical knowledge of financial topics.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, collaborative and highly driven professional with the ambition to make a difference and play an active role in helping to drive change.

About the European Climate Foundation

The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.

We support over 350 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.

As towns, cities and countries around the world declare climate emergencies, seas rise, forests burn, glaciers melt, increasing numbers of people take to the streets demanding urgent action and our societies begin to wake up to what the science has been saying for many years, there has never been a more important time to be working on climate change.

The ECF brings together diverse perspectives and backgrounds to find the best innovative solutions to tackle climate change. We are focusing on engaging and hiring great people from a wide diversity of backgrounds to strengthen the cause. If you share our values of respect, innovation, and collaboration, join us.
