About the European Climate Foundation

The European Climate Foundation (ECF) is a major philanthropic initiative working to help tackle the climate crisis by fostering the development of a net-zero emission society at the national, European and global level.

We support over 300 partner organisations to carry out activities that drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement, contribute to the public debate on climate action and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.

The ECF brings together diverse perspectives and backgrounds to find the best innovative solutions to tackle climate change. We are focusing on engaging and hiring great people from a wide diversity of backgrounds to strengthen the cause. If you share our values of respect, innovation, and collaboration, join us.

Position

About the role

Over the last several years the ECF has worked in broadening the climate action coalition in Europe. It has increased its cooperation with consumers, health associations, economic actors, business associations, and many others. This trend of working with new constituencies is expected to increase in the future in a targeted way. In seeking system change, the ECF and the climate community at large must understand the different ecosystems of relevant actors, and ensure they reach out to the right stakeholders. As a network enabler, the ECF has begun to work on Network Analysis in the different ecosystems where it is present.

The ECF is exploring ways to map and analyse stakeholders and to study the features, connections, and paths of the network. Such network analysis can play an important role in the development and articulation of existing and future strategies, in capacity building of the field, and also in evaluation and knowledge management. The ECF has therefore launched its Network Analysis (NA) unit to bring this topic to the next level. The NA Data Analyst will report to the NA Manager.
