The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.
We support over 280 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.
The ECF is looking to increase its support in favour of ambitious climate action in Czech Republic. Czech Republic is an important greenhouse gas emitting economy in Europe and an political actor not to be ignored. Given current developments, there is a real opportunity to push the country to be much more progressive when it comes to climate change. The ECF is in particular willing to support Czech Republic in seeking ways for carbon neutrality in the 2050 horizon, to develop a strong National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), to phase out from coal and to promote a net-zero agenda at the EU level.

The consultant is expected to work closely with the ECF’s relevant programmes and communications team, as well as with the ECF partners in Czech Republic, and in other countries as necessary.
