Analyst, Audience Insight, Strategic Communications (flexible location)

European Climate Foundation BXL Belgium Strategic Communications
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.

We support over 500 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.

As towns, cities and countries around the world declare climate emergencies, seas rise, forests burn, glaciers melt, increasing numbers of people take to the streets demanding urgent action and our societies begin to wake up to what the science has been saying for many years, there has never been a more important time to be working on climate change.

Position

ECF is looking for an analyst with an understanding of polling to join its Audience Insight team.

This is a vital moment in the struggle to save the planet and future generations from the worst impacts of climate change. It’s more important than ever that we campaign and communicate effectively: with messages that work, to audiences that have the power to effect the change we need.

The successful candidate for this job will work at the very heart of those efforts. They will support a network of campaigners and communications professionals around the world to ensure we deliver winning climate campaigns based on the best audience insight possible.

In doing so, they will join a growing Audience Insight team that’s becoming a pivotal part of the way the organisation fights for change.

This is the perfect job for someone who has some experience of audience insight or public opinion data and is looking to put it in the service of one of the most urgent causes of our time.

The role will report to the network’s lead on audience insight and messaging.

  • Conduct message or creative testing for campaigns on a variety of climate related topics.
  • Analyse the results of surveys and other insight techniques, presenting findings to colleagues and offering practical communications/campaigns advice to colleagues.
  • Support the better dissemination of our research findings to colleagues around the ECF network within the sector at large
  • Support the development of an audience insight training program across the organisation
  • Implement and manage improved media monitoring systems for capturing audience insight work by other organisations
  • Complete other tasks as assigned
